Platforms

          We have many ideas for improving Harford County.  Discussing all of the issues that impact the lives of our citizens is important if we are to continue to better our home.  Not all issues will have an easy, popular, or simple solution.   Every question requires thought and careful consideration and, equally important, open and respectful debate with input from all sectors of the community.

We will therefore be periodically updating this site with ideas, issues, and information so that you can join our discussion of how we can improve the county.  What you read here is, for the most part, a basis for further discussion.   There must be a continual development of ideas before- and even after- legislative (or other) action is taken.

Careful planning is required to improve any situation.  Our nation is burdened with a large government and a code of laws that has become a behemoth due to short-term solutions and lack of planning.  Every problem must be viewed as a pit- we cannot jump out of the problem with the first thought that comes to mind.  We must build a series of initiatives, principles, and solutions, which all together become a platform through which our society as a whole is lifted to a better plateau.

Please read the platforms that make up part of what this campaign is about.  We ask you to then help with what else the campaign is about- give us your input, and help with any plan that you decide to support.  Give us your issues and your thoughts, and challenge us to work with you toward a solution.  Talking about the issues is half the effort, but it takes action to have a real effect. 

Feel free to adopt any issue, platform, idea, or legislation as your own- making a difference is what is most important, regardless of any credit. Anything you can do to help will have an impact on our community.
