Objective To serve the citizens of Harford County and Councilmanic district "C" as their councilman; encouraging open debate and community input in the course of improving our schools, safety, roads, and local economy.
Experience Legislative Aide Barry Glassman, MD House of Delegates 35A               2002-2006

Work on legislation and constituent concerns, represent the district at events around the county and in Annapolis, assist with community outreach.

Worked in Annapolis for Delegate Barry Glassman and the Harford County Delegation. Assisted in preparations for Robert Ehrlich’s gubernatorial campaign, including working with Republican press efforts.

Thomas Bellavance Intern Award    Public Affairs and Civic Engagement  2003-2004

Selected from entire student body for a prestigious internship with a non-profit political action organization. Organized a successful voter registration drive and planned several large lectures and events, including hosting Republican Senator Richard Lugar for a discussion and private dinner.

Led the College Republicans in involvement with local, state, and national politics, including organizing campaign walks, mailings, sign placement, phone and written contact with potential voters, and event support.

Co-Founder      Union for Community Action                  2002-Present

Founded non-partisan civic activism organization focused on cooperative discussions and community involvement to find solutions and support for any issue or concern. Addressed many conflicts with success. Hosted candidate forums and debates and discussions amongst the community.

Taskforce Member                                                           2003-2004 Mayor’s Healthy Housing Ratio Taskforce, Salisbury, MD

Appointed by the Mayor of Salisbury to serve on a taskforce working on concerns with the housing balance in the city of Salisbury including the ratio of rental to owner- occupied homes, the number of residents per home, etc.

Worked in Washington, D.C. and Bel Air, MD offices on federal and local issues. Focused on the Veterans History Project program with the Library of Congress. ‘Honorary’ member of staff at events in the Harford County area.
