Learning Environment

We must ensure that students have the best learning environment possible. This goes beyond capacity, administrative, and counseling improvements. The setting in which a student is expected to learn must be conducive to education.

This means that our classrooms need proper heating and air conditioning. Regular tests for air and water quality must be planned and acted upon to keep students healthy enough to learn.

Further, existing buildings must be kept in good condition. This means that bathroom stalls must all have doors, windows must open and shut properly, and maintenance issues must be dealt with rapidly and effectively.

Harford is too great of a county for these basic structural deficiencies, and we must be sure that we take action to care for the basic quality needs necessary for a sound learning environment in our schools.
